Will it damage my nails?
No ! When applied and removed correctly, CND Shellac will not damage your nails. The only way it can ever damage the natural nail is if Shellac is peeled off without safe removal, for example 'picking' ! The polish is well-adhered to the nail plate, if picked off, it can pull off vital top layers of the nail plate, leaving the nail looking peeled and unhealthy.
What do I do if my Shellac chips prematurely?
Please don’t pick it !! If within the guaranteed two weeks then you will be entitled to have the nail repaired for free. If this is not the case then please contact me straight away to arrange for safe removal.
I have weak, brittle nails. Is Shellac for me?
Shellac is not for everyone and it does work best on healthy, strong nails. If your nails break easily your Shellac may not last the suggested length of time. In these cases I would recommend having regular manicures and homecare to improve your nail health before having the Shellac treatment. I also offer an IBX service, please see below for details.

IBX
Revolutionary two-part system that allows natural nails to grow readily
on their own and is also used to improve nail plate integrity. IBX can be applied to natural nails, prior to Shellac or added to any other manicure treatment.
Its application process is designed for ultimate penetration into the nail plate. This penetrative toughening system works inside the nail instead of sitting on top like traditional nail services and actually fuses the layers in the upper portion of the nail plate together with an interpenetrating polymer network (IPN). This patent pending formula locks itself within the nail plate.
The perfect addition for clients, who’s nails are prone to dryness and delamination (flaking) from water damage / over washing and alcohol gel use.
Whilst IBX does not guarantee record length, strength or remove the need for correct length and shape for your lifestyle, regular maintenance is advisable. You will still need to look after and nourish your nails and cuticles.

Frequently asked questions
Will it hurt?
It is difficult to promise a completely painless waxing experience but we use several pre and post wax products that will help it feel more comfortable. It also depends on which part of the body you are having waxed, whether it’s your first time and if you have thick hair or sensitive skin.
How long should I let my hair grow before I come back?
For the best results, hair should be approximately 1cm long or 2-3 weeks’ worth of growth as a minimum
Will waxing make my hair grow back darker and thicker?
Despite popular belief, waxing will not cause more hair follicles and you’ll probably find that your hair will become less coarse. When hair is removed using wax, it takes the root so when it grows back it is a new hair, rather than it cutting at the top of the thick part and leaving stubble.
